Structure of the page

In the menu bar on the left you get access to the CATALOGUE RAISONNÉ which presents the list of works of Meera Hashimoto. Additional this website offers an outlook on Meera’s LIFE & WORK as artist and art therapist.

In the Exhibition Directory we provide all available informations about EXHIBITIONS of Meera's artwork during her lifetime as well as posthumously. The paintings known to have been exhibited are allocated to the respective exhibitions.

Under the topic LITERATURE and the heading Publications you will find information about books written and published by Meera. A Bibliography of books illustrated with Meera's paintings and of exhibition catalogues will be available in the future. Interviews and newspaper articels will be shown under the heading Press.

Furthermore, this page provides information about the newly established MEERA ART MUSEUM  and the MEERA ART FOUNDATION.

NOTE: At this moment an individual INDEX NUMBER of each listed artwork is not provided, since this catalogue raisonnè is still in process. In the future the works will be chronologically listed with an ascending number (WVZ Nr.).

 

Structure of the CATALOGUE RAISONNÈ

The artwork can either be viewed chronologically By Year or thematically By Category. To access the paintings BY CATEGORIE you can choose between many different themes like Morning Glories, Abstract, Bamboo, Seasons and so forth. 

Since some categories are containing a large number of artworks, we created sub-catogories and listed the paintings in different SERIES. Following main-categories are subdivided in series: Cherry Blossom, Abstract Trees, Morning Glories, Leaves and Grass, Abstract, Water, Sky, Portraits and Early Works.

NOTE:  to get access to the sub-categories, please click a second time on the chosen category, only then the drop-down menu with the list of the various series will open.

You can choose between the display format: BRIEF DETAILS and LIST VIEW and also how many items should be displayed per page. The LIST VIEW shows each painting accompanied with some information about the artwork.

With a mouse-click on the thumbnail image you get access to the particular painting with more detailed information and a larger format image. By clicking again on the picture of the artwork an even larger format will be shown. 

Using the menu item SEARCH you can search for particular images through keywords.
